Starting this Saturday, March 28, you have a different 2.0 appointment on MYBARRIO’s Instagram every day with more than 30 confirmed creatives. On March 28, we were going to open MYBARRIO in Madrid with the first pop up, postponed due to the health crisis. As a symbol, that same day, we will inaugurate the first “homemade” edition of MYBARRIO Online #EnCasa, the first online local art and design festival with a selection of unique creatives. It will be interactive and without an end date.

Fashion – Art – Design – Decoration – Interior design – Photography – 3D – Gastronomy – Yoga – Music
We join forces and we will give everyone free access to a 360º online creative festival of local and emerging art and design. It is a collaborative festival in which we have selected with the same philosophy and careful line of the creative Pop Ups, artists, musicians and entrepreneurs who draw our attention, to publicize their work, privacy, home, creation process, their secrets , their knowledge.

MYBARRIO is YOUR HOME, OUR HOME.

We enter the beautiful houses of our creatives. They will show us their confined life, how they reflect and seek inspiration. We will discuss the future of emerging design. We will dance together. We will cook together. We will learn together. We recreate the proximity of the neighborhood online. The community can ask us all the questions they want, including its founder.

Naida C. Castel was born from a deep desire for self-expression, which arises from the most unpredictable moments experienced by its creator. Moments that end up transforming into pieces full of meaning. Avoiding conventions, her jewels are conceived as rebellious, untamed, contemporary objects that go hand in hand and at the rhythm of daily life.
To celebrate this collaboration, during the confinement, you will have a 10% discount on your purchase with the code MYBARRIONAIDA both on our website and hers, and we also give you 1 MYBARRIO tote bag.

Tuesday 21/4:
Insta-shopping of 1 surprise piece of the Calíope jewelry brand, exclusively for MYBARRIO Online within the frame of Sant Jordi.
Thursday 23/4:
1pm CET – IG Live with the author Sara Torres.
Calíope Jewels is a new brand of handmade jewelry, made of resin, which encapsulates elements of nature. For Sant Jordi, the chosen element of nature has been, of course, roses, and they have created a limited edition that will be sold exclusively on our platform.
Calíope, in honor of her name, always accompanies her pieces with poetry, and this time, she has chosen Sara Torres, a writer and teacher of comparative literature and cultural studies with a gender perspective, who will recite a fragment of her latest book Phantasmagoría, a reading about desire and loss and how the body is hooked on the images of memory.
“Her” phantasmagoria” is the living trace of what is no longer there: gestures, spaces, lovers. From these memories, which go beyond the being that guards them, this work emerges on desire and loss, on the subject who builds himself remembering what he once loved and is no longer present” (The Beautiful Warsaw).

Thursday 23/4:
7pm CET – IG Live with a special guest for the big day of Sant Jordi: Flavita Banana.
Flavita Banana (Flavia Álvarez-Pedrosa) was born in 1987. She studied Arts and Design and the Illustration cycle, both at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, juggling all imaginable works. At the age of 26 and after giving up on any other style, she began to draw vignettes of humor, with a simple line and the humor of someone who no longer expects anything. At 29 she was able to leave the office life thanks to collaborations in S Moda, Pride and Satisfaction, Mongolia Magazine and El País. She has published the books Curvy (Lumen, 2016) as an illustrator, and Las Cosas del Querer (Lumen, 2017), Archivos Estelares (¡Caramba !, 2017) and Archivos Cósmicos (¡Caramba !, 2019) as the author. In 2018 she received the Gat Perich prize for graphic humor. Her work has been described as sad humor, a mixture of manners and absurdity.
Friday 24/4:
11am – IG Live with the stylist Angela Ibáñez : Home Retreat.
Angela Ibáñez is a stylist in Barcelona. She has a great sensitivity to color and art direction, and we were captivated by her personal way of escaping during confinement; recreating an environment every day from her home balcony linked to a destination, a trip. All the details such as the recipes for the breakfasts, the decoration of the table, the looks… are very well thought out in relation to that destination. Enter her world with a very special live performance.
